Géo Dorival (1879–1968) was a French illustrator, graphic designer, and poster artist.He made his mark on the world of posters and tourism advertising starting in the 1910s, producing dozens of posters for railroad companies, shipping lines, and spa resorts. He became one of the best-known and most sought-after French travel poster artists. A passionate colorist, he loved to give his posters a twilight-like, mysterious atmosphere.In 1928, he ended his career as a poster artist to devote himself to his role as editor-in-chief of the magazine L’Art et la Mode. He retired with a masterpiece: the triptych *Vers le Mont-Blanc*, featuring breathtaking graphic modernity combined with an incomparable mastery of his technique.
